Alicja Wasilewska

My name is Alicja. Teaching English has been my passion for over three years now. Despite my young age, I bring a wealth of experience, having been raised abroad for seven years each in England and Ireland. For the past four years, Poland has been my home, where I’ve embraced its culture and language. Recently, I completed high school and eagerly embarked on my journey studying Business and Languages in the Tri-city.

From the moment I began teaching, my primary aim has always been to assist individuals in overcoming their challenges with speaking and understanding English. Leveraging my British accent, I strive to create an environment where learners feel at ease and equipped to engage confidently with native speakers. 

I started teaching English at the young age of 15. I began by helping classmates, and soon my talent was recognized. I decided to expand my knowledge, and a few months later, I took the Cambridge Advanced Certificate (CAE) as well as participating in the English competitions. I worked at an orphanage, helping children with their speaking skills. After that, I worked at a language school for 2 years. Following that experience, I started offering personal tutoring to help individuals overcome language barriers, and I have been working towards that goal ever since. I have taught many levels and ages, getting to know each individual and helping them reach their potential.

In my free time, I find joy in two things: exercising to keep my body active and healthy, and travelling the world to explore new cultures and experiences.  I value working with open-minded individuals, as open people foster an environment of trust and collaboration. When it comes to learning English, engaging in conversations is paramount, as it helps refine language skills and comprehension. I particularly admire individuals who possess patience and ambition, as they not only encourage growth but also inspire continuous improvement.
