Karolina N.

My name is Karolina, and I have been an English teacher for twenty years. I earned a Master’s degree in English Philology from the Faculty of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw, majoring in Specialist Languages with a translation specialty. I also hold a Master’s degree in Russian Philology. Additionally, I studied both languages at the University in Tromso, Norway, located several hundred kilometers beyond the Arctic Circle. Furthermore, I have achieved the title of Microsoft Certified Educator, and for using innovative teaching techniques, I have been awarded the European Language Label (European mark of innovation in foreign language teaching and learning).

In my classes, I care about the atmosphere, proper selection of materials, and focus mainly on conversational English, although I admit that teaching grammar is also a pleasure for me. Years of working in public schools at various levels have allowed me to draw conclusions about what works in learning English and what to avoid. I am also interested in neurodidactics of foreign language teaching and try to use this knowledge in my classes.

In my personal life, I adore cinema, from Scandinavian crime dramas to Philomena Cunk. I love Greece and everything associated with it. I hope we will talk about these and many other topics in my classes at English Break. You are welcome to join!
